Ouch. This week, I will travel to a conference for two days of design and development, move to a new city into a new house, and find a new job or make significant inroads on the job search. A few people have observed, I have a sense of calm and centeredness and to my surprise, I really do. Many people have a daily practice of some sort, exercise, meditation, prayer, writing. Currently, mine is triage. Every morning, I’m an observer of my life with the goal to manage the chaos and not get sucked into it. Daily triage is review situations and assign priority to the most effective order to deal with them. It’s my emergency protocol. This is not a normal week and this is not a new normal. This is a transition and this to shall pass.
